Mademoiselle Danielle Siebenhuener
Mlle Danielle Siebenhuener is the new French Teacher at Bellefonte Area High School. She has been teaching at BAHS since February of 2022, and is super excited for many more years of French and fun to come!
Mlle Siebenhuener graduated from Penn State University in 2018 with a B.S. in World Languages Education and French and Francophone Studies, along with a minor in Italian Language and Culture. She is from New York, and has worked as a Substitute Teacher at Jericho High School since 2020. That wonderful opportunity there has allowed her to get to know students all over the school, and become familiar with a lot of the staff, and what responsibilities there are to fulfill in different positions within the school. It truly allowed her to become further acquainted with how a school runs throughout the year.
Her passion is her career, and being able to pass down knowledge about the French language and Culture to her students in an engaging way…that truly enhances their learning, and supports different learning styles that give each student the opportunity to learn. She wants her students to know that she is always there for them, and strives for her students to have and keep that close to their hearts, and minds.
Language was always something that piqued her interest, and at Penn State during her student teaching semester she was able enhance her skills, grow as a world language educator, and further develop her true creative nature. She always wants to place an emphasis on creating and maintaining a supportive and fun learning environment for her students, and she wants them to showcase their creative and innovative selves within the process. Her goal is for her students to practice and immerse themselves in the four pillars of language learning: reading, writing, listening, and speaking. She wants her students to discover who they are, and what they are truly capable of from within.
Her overall goal is to fully immerse your child into the French language and culture, and for their identities to become a part of their learning and their engagement with the material. She wants to share her passion for what she is teaching to your children, and she hopes to pass along knowledge (inside and outside of the classroom) that they will find value in, and will take with them throughout their educational journeys.
